I am really going to miss ya Brian. We had so many fun times at Sherwoods or at the rink. Rest peacefully knowing how many lives you touched in a positive manner.

I was so saddened to hear that Brian passed away
after battling cancer. He was a great man dedicated to family and community. His generosity and kindness knew no bounds and my kids used hand me down from his kids. I will always remember him. My prayers are with Sue and the entire Payne family during this tough time.Paul, Joy, Mikey and Kara Dillon

Our hearts were broken when we heard of Brian's passing. His ready smile, interest in hearing what the kids were up to, heroic efforts as a fireman and standing up as a role model for players he coached in hockey will always remain with us when we think of Brian. Heaven just welcomed one of the best. Prayers go out to Sue and the Kids. Judy, Roland, Anders and Isa Caputo

payner was a great friend, great teammate and a true leader, tho he was not easy to play against when he donned the the white jersey in our pick up games..rarely got around him, if u wanted to park in front of opposing net get used to the lumber from him and he was always sneaking by the forwards in offensive zone to jump in the mix..but most of all he was a true friend..i had my own battle with cancer this past January..Brian texted me day of surgery and every single day after to check in, see how recovery was and give me words of encouragement. It meant the world to me..amidst his own dealings he took time..every day..to reach out..u will be missed buddy but I will think of you with great memories often..love you pal

Brian was a cornerstone of the northeast neurology team. That smile brightened every interaction! He will forever be recognized for his innovative skills…and knowing where to find the best pizza! He will always be celebrated as part of our team.

My name is John Heffernan. So sorry to hear the news. I had the pleasure of playing hockey with Brian from mites to Iona prep and then men's hockey with our fathers. He was always a great team mate, hard working and great friend. So sorry. In my prayers.

Hi my name is Frank Conroy - I had the pleasure of teaching Brian at Iona Prep in the early 1980’s (I taught there from 1980-1983 and 1994 to the present) - I always remember Brian with a smile on his face and if I remember correctly his love of hockey. My condolences to your family.
