Sue was undeniably the most talented financier, but that was just a small part of what made her an extraordinary friend and a singular human being whose time on this earth was much too short.
Sue spent her free time traveling the world, golfing, playing tennis, lounging with a book or walking on a beach. Sue would watch the waves lapping at the sand and later look at the sun set while searching for the illusive green flash. The small joys of living and the finest details of our world were amazing in her eyes.
Together we swam in many different seas around the world pulling up bright colored starfish and all kinds of conch shells which we would later eat and wash down with a cold beer.
We prayed in every church, chapel, and climbed the Santuario Madonna Del Succorso and many more holy pilgrimages’ asking God for this and that and to take care of our families and friends.
I ask God now to take care of you, Sue, as I know he will. You are beautiful, smart, funny and very brave.
I pray for your family and all you left behind. May you find everlasting peace and love now that you are in God’s hands in his Kingdom of Heaven. – Patty Ahern

I was deeply saddened to learn of Sue's passing. She was a wonderful person taken far too soon. My sympathy and condolences are with Mr. and Mrs. Irwin, Sue's brothers and sisters, her nieces and nephews, and the many people who counted her as a friend.
With Sue in mind, I'd like to share a parable that might provide some comfort to those mourning her passing.
There once was a great sailing ship moored in a small harbor. One day, the sails of the great ship were unfurled as it prepared for the start of a new voyage. A crowd gathered and watched as the great ship raised its anchor and started making its way out of the harbor.
The great ship grew steadily smaller as it moved out to where the sea and the sky meet. Soon, all that could be seen of the great ship was its wind-filled sails. Then, in an instant, the ship slipped from their sight.
After a moment, someone in the crowd sighed, "She's gone." Another person responded, "Gone? She's not gone. She is only where our eyes cannot see. She is still as grand in mast and hull, in spar and sail, as she was when she was here with us. And as we wave goodbye, there are others on a faraway shore pointing to the horizon and saying, "here she comes."
Last week, Sue crossed over the horizon. And though we grieve her departure, there is a celebration on the shores of Heaven cheering her arrival. Forever free of infirmity, pain, and suffering, Sue is as we best remember her. My faith makes me confident that she is smiling, anticipating seeing each of us again after we make our own voyage.

Sending thoughts and prayers to the Irwin family…
I’m so sorry for your loss…
Suzie always had a twinkle in her eye and a grin from ear to ear, which will be fondly remembered, and sorely missed…

Sue was my mother Sally's Account Executive until her advancing cancer required she pause her diligent and responsive service. Our prayers go out to Sue and her family.

To the family and friends of Sue Irwin, I am so sorry for your loss. For many years, she has been the investment manager for my family, first for my parents and now for my siblings and me. But I considered her as much more than an investment manager; she was a friend. I know my parents enjoyed it very much when she came to visit them, and I also always looked forward to meeting up with her. Sue was a very bright and engaging person who connected with her clients on a personal level. I feel honored to have known her.

Sue had a very special light that she passed along to everybody. I am so grateful for her friendship and all of the memories that we built together and sad that her life was cut too short. I will miss her beautiful smile and laugh. This photo was taken in Vail, Co. Always..... Valerie Viola
