Sending love and light to Amy and Matt’s Children. I did not know Matt well, we almost worked together several years ago and reconnected when we discovered we both were battling the same disease. Matt was a great source of strength and inspiration and continues to be, his love of his family was always at the forefront of our numerous text conversations. A good man full of strength and grace, who I know will be deeply missed by all who had the good luck to have know him.

I got to know Matt from a young age when his dad Stan would take us all up and down the east coast to bicycle race together. We would drive around in a purple Citroen DS, and after a long day of bike riding or car breakdowns we would go back to Stan's for a meal of Pepsi and Pizza. He was so nice to be around and funny.

I was lucky enough to cross paths with Matt through many phases of our lives. We met at Bx Science and quickly became friendly sitting next to each other in English class. I bored him with all the drama in my life and he patiently listened...and always made me laugh. Subsequently. we both attended the same college, where Matt and my husband Adam were fraternity brothers. Finally, we ended up working at the same company, Accenture. Matt was a standout kind of guy - always smiling, always kind, very funny and friendly to all. He was very smart too which was helpful when I asked for the answers back in English class. LOL. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I hope they find comfort in all the memories shared - and how many people he touched.

I met Matt at Deustche Bank and he was always positive (even while working at DB ;) and had that great big smile on his face. He gave me the advice to look in Larchmont when I was looking to buy an apartment (it had an Ann Taylor and NY Sports Club so he thought I'd love it ;). I took his advice and was there for a few years. The day I sold the aparment I actually ran into Matt and Amy with Brody in the stroller on the street. I was fortunate enought to have grabbed lunch with Matt in Norwalk a couple of years ago and will miss him dearly. I offer my prayers and blessings to you Amy, Brody, Sarah and Emily. He loved you all so dearly.

I'm so sorry to hear of Matt's passing. I worked with him at Tunesat, and have many fond memories of him that I will always carry with me. He was always a bright light in all of our get-togethers. I enjoyed his smile, energy, and his passion for exploration. I will keep all of you in my prayers during this time.

I worked with Matt and indeed remember his infectious smile and optimistic outlook. I remember the support he provided, as well as my coworkers, at a time when I lost my husband. I am eternally grateful to have known and worked with him. I offer my prayers for you, praying that God's blessing of comfort be with you in this difficult time.

We treasure so many memories of Matt’s indomitable spirit and playful sense of humor. He always had a fun take to tell or an incredible karaoke performance to give. And his devotion to his family was inspirational. We will miss him terribly and our hearts go out to Amy, Brody, Sarah and Emily.

The description of Matthew ( as a child we always called him that) is exactly as I remember him when we played together with my brothers and his brother, David. William, David ( my brother), Gary and me- the only girl and Matthew made sure he shared his toys with me. So saddened by his passing and send much love to his family.

We remember meeting Matt and Amy at Memorial Park's playground, when you guys were looking at houses in Larchmont. We immediately adored you both and were thrilled that you settled here. Many years of sports for our kids, and seeing him in town, always a brighter day after seeing Matt. Our hearts are heavy, Matt is kind of guy you just want around forever. But what a gift to have him in our lives, if even for a short time. So much love to you, Amy, and the kids. May we celebrate his life and legacy of love as we struggle to make sense of his passing.

May Matt Rest in Power knowing that the last time we played stickball I had to forfeit because I couldn’t get him out anymore. It might have been a one inning game because when were 21 22 we really couldn’t throw anymore from our rotator cuff injuries. He never judged me, always humble, never bragged about it in public, only to me. It was never about the game, it was always about spending time. Just like when we went to the movies, or had dinner or met for some pizza on Bell Blvd. I will forever cherish my memories with Matt. His legacy will live forever!

I came to know Matt at Deutsche Bank and we became close friends and had many a lunch together. He was always positive, funny, and very smart. During those years he started to build a beautiful family with Amy and he would beam with pride and joy when talking about them. He was a good soul taken too soon. I miss my friend.

I think condolence memories like these let family members know how important their loved one was to so many, at so many stages of life and in so many ways. Matt and I were fast friends in High School. He was FUNNY, smart, kind, down to Earth and the type of guy one considered themselves lucky to be friends with. Matt was an integral part of my High School experience and for that I'm incredibly grateful. Sending you all strength and love. Christina

It is with a heavy heart and my sincere condolences to Amy, Brody, Sarah, Emily and the rest of the Fish family that I write this note.
Melissa and I have many great memories of Matt. This summer (pictured here) we had a chance to get together and share an amazing morning. We reconnected, ate bagels, witnessed teenager silliness (of our teenage boys), talked about our lives and had a great laugh.
When I think about Matt I always remember the way he handled himself in good and bad times. Matt serves to me as model for how to be a positive influence. He always looked for the bright side of life and was an incredible example for us all. Matt was also incredibly generous with his time. When my wife went into labor at 4 am (11 years ago) I called Matt (and woke him up) who immediately offered to come over and watch our kids as we dashed to the hospital. I didn't even have to ask. Matt is in an inspiration. I will forever aspire to be like Matt, a positive influence, a friend that is generous with time, and an optimist in the face of life's challenges.
Lots of love,
Miguel

So many great memories of Matt - from the little league sporting fields to boys nights, to scouts camping trips, to weekends at the LSC. I will always remember our journey to Newark to watch a UFC match and barely avoiding a fight in the crowd. Was so good to see our kids grow up together in Larchmont.
Always a smile, a laconic view, a funny joke, a twinkle in the eye, and being in the moment. Was an inspiration in how he positively handled the extraordinary challenges life threw at him. Loved his family more than anything. I will miss you Matt

Words can't express how sad I am that we have lost such an amazing man. I feel honored I was lucky to have worked with him at Aventri. My first day on the job he greeted with the biggest smile and warm welcome. I felt like I had known him for years. Even when he was up to his eyes with work and meetings, he would make time to chat and ensure I had what I needed. Of course, every conversation included stories of his family he adored so much. I am thinking of his family during this difficult time, especially Amy and the kids. He loved you all so much.

To the Fish Family- I had the honor of knowing Matt during our time together at Aventri. I would walk into his office and there you would all be- family photos, drawings, and artwork hung through the walls of his office. He was so very proud and full of love for you. I can't think of a time when I entered his office where we didn't first catch up on what you all were planning or doing. Matt was a great man and his love for you always showed even when you weren't in his immediate presence. I'll be thinking of you during this difficult time.
