Frank was a wonderful friend in high school and remained so to this day. I last saw him at a reunion 2 years ago in New York and enjoyed such a good time as always when we got together He was a wonderful caring, loving family man. I wish we had not lost him so soon. He was such a vibrant man and one of the best male friends I have ever had. It was such an honor to know him.

I knew Frank from the age of three on through high school and amid the ups and downs of our adult lives. He was a mensch. Devoted to his family, talented and dedicated in a rough and highly competitive industry, and always there when you needed him. The world is a lesser place for his absence.

I met Frank after I started working at Ferrara Advertising in the summer of 2012. I always enjoyed our chats and how lovingly he would speak of his children, grandchildren and wife Barbara. He was a consummate professional, and as a writer myself I admired the impressive arc of his career and the fascinating stories he would tell of advertising's heyday. We had been due for a catchup and I'd been meaning to reach out. I'm very sad that I didn't do so sooner. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. I will remember Frank fondly!

Frank was writer and a delightful and wonderful friend and family man. During my 70’s SMS years, Frank did some great work for Volvo and Hertz and Cutty Sark and others … and more … he had a long 40+ career in advertising. But above all a caring and funny and embracing man. Warmest thoughts to Barbara all …

I have tons of happy memories with Frank. Some downright hysterical. Frank had a great sense of humor even in difficult times. He was talented, caring and a good friend. May he rest well.

Where to start with the memories Frank? Both our families moved into new built houses in Tulip Lane in early 1978 and it’s been a tremendous friendship ever since. The cook-outs in our drive and your back yard and the children playing all sorts of games. Throwing a baseball in the circle and you telling young Frankie to go easy throwing to Mr McKay! The amazing football pass you caught in the dark, again in the circle. You taught me all about baseball and the Yankees and took me to the old stadium many times. One of our last meetings was at the new Yankee stadium, great days! Our two trips to Cooperstown, where you should be inducted if only for your memorabilia collection, and both road trips were briefly interrupted by traffic cops! Our friendship remained very strong even when I leaned towards the Giants instead of your beloved Jets! The Larchmont Tavern and the night we both won ‘the winner takes all’ spirits/wines/beer jackpot lottery. The Grand Central to Larchmont train bar car with Walter after work! The Athenaeum Hotel’s whisky bar and the Grenadier pub in London. The nights out in Manhattan with Barbara, Lynda, Sheena and the Halliday family. Frank, your passing has left a hole in our hearts, you were greatly loved and now some places will never be the same without you being there. Hopefully you will now be able to play ball with Frankie and I’m sure he’ll throw easy to you! Rest in peace our great friend and MVP,
Bill and Lynda McKay

We have such wonderful memories of our time as neighbours to Frank, Barbara, Frankie and Michael when we lived in Larchmont.
Great get togethers, children playing together and Frank pitching non stop balls to Frankie and our son Christopher.
We have managed to return for visits several times and enjoyed every minute catching up and reminiscing over our times spent together.
We are so sad to think of Franks suffering, may he now rest in peace.
Thoughts and prayers are with Barbara, Michael, Yolanda and family.
Love, Kathy and Des Shady.

Everyone should have an Uncle Frank. Always ready with a kind word or gentle advice, he was a source of positivity. His sense of humor had a way of deflating anxiety. He made time to come to sports games and rock concerts.
I loved watching him and my dad interact. They had a loving relationship that was a joy to watch. I know how much my dad cherished their relationship.
I remember Beach Boys on Christmas morning, hiking in Vermont, meeting at Paula's in Rhode Island. The best of times.
Uncle Frank will be missed.

Where to begin. BBQ and baseball games, late nights of kids running the neighborhood while you all relished on the deck. Sleep overs, sprinklers and slip and slides. An open door policy at every house. Little siblings wanting to tag along. My heart will forever be part of that neighborhood family. Truly a great man, you will be missed. Take care of Mom and TP up there, Frankie already is having a catch with Dad waiting for you.

Frank Carlos Fleizach was a unique human being. He was caring, compassionate, empathetic, sensitive, deep-thinking, intelligent, wry, witty, and intensely creative. Just as important for me, he was a dear, dear friend for the past 36 years (we worked at the same advertising agency for two years and maintained our friendship ever since). We spent literally thousands of hours, in person and on the phone, discussing, among many other things, writing, creativity, publishing, relationships, fate and luck, triumph and disaster (to steal a phrase from Kipling), success and failure, DIckens's novels, and, last but surely not least, the meaning of life. In short, Frank was a force of nature with an inquisitive mind, but more important, one of my very dearest friends ever. I know that to say he will be missed is a gross understatement and does not to justice to the void that will be left with his family and friends by his too-early shuffling off this mortal coil. But I must say it anyway: he will be missed.
