I was searching for Dr. Daum to possibly refer a child on the autism spectrum. I was saddened to hear of his passing and offer condolences to his family. I first met him when searching for help for my son who is on the autism spectrum and who, 15 years ago, was struggling with encopresis. He was incredibly dedicated and committed to helping children in an area where many other doctors seemed to give up. He understood the need for parent education and was a true advocate for the wellbeing of children. He also gave me a referral to a child psychotherapist who ended up having a hugely positive influence on my son and our lives. I will always be grateful to Dr. Daum and again offer my sympathies to his obviously loving family.
