From the time I was a young child through my young adult years I spent many overnights at aunt Fran and uncle Pete's (I occasionally called him uncle Peach). I saw their love story up close. How I saw my uncle--a man comfortable in his own skin. He was satisfied with his job as a cop. He loved his family. He never needed to be the center of attention but smiled as he let others shine. He lived with humility. He was a good man that I will miss and remember fondly.
