Sean and Scott, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. My deep condolences to the two of you and the extended family. Hearing of your father's passing was a shock and left me deeply sad. Your dad was and is such a fixture in our community, especially for those of us who grew up playing baseball and hockey. I'll never forget what his voice sounded like, reverberating from the rafters of ice rinks - from the time we were young playing in empty rinks in the early morning hours, to our later years when the rinks started to fill up - even among the crowd I was able to pick out your dad's voice. It was a constant and source of encouragement. Though he was there all the way through our high school years, one memory in particular stands out from a game sometime when we were mites, squirts, or peewees when he was coaching us. It was a holiday tournament game in Stamford and I was sick as a dog. Your dad knew I was struggling and kept checking in on me throughout the game, making sure I had water and encouragement. We won and I was able to play all the way through. But the thing that stuck with me was when I was sitting in the locker room after the game, completely spent, and your dad came up to me, put his hands on my shoulders and in his excited way, half laughing, almost yelling at me, belted out, "Matty Marr! What a gamer!" This isn't the only instance when your dad made me feel special, deepening my love for the game of hockey and the sense of brotherhood I felt among our group, but it's one I remember vividly 20ish years later. You guys should know that he made an indelible mark on that part of my life in that way--the way he did for so many other young men. Your dad will be sorely missed. God bless you Kevin. My great fiend growing up. So many fun and funny memories that I will never forget. You were a great person and I know how proud you were of your family. Even though it’s been a long time since we saw each other, I loved it when you would text me and we’d start sending each other pictures and memories back and forth - like there was no time lost. There is a special place in Heaven for you, my friend.

Kevin was a great guy. So gifted in sports. Great memories of Kevin during our softball years of playing together. The best 2nd baseman that I played with by far. Funny too ! His quirky humor was really unique. I’ll miss that guy. Rest In Peace my friend

I will remember Kevin as a dedicated dad to Sean & Scott. Always cheering and supporting his sons along with the Tiger teams. Had great times on the sidelines at travel baseball & hockey games. Mamaroneck has lost a good man and friend.

I remember Kevin as my great friend Keith's cool older brother who did the Billy White Shoes dance in the end zone after scoring a touchdown for the varsity football team. I also have a recent fond memory of sitting with and talking about his sons and about old times at a high school baseball game at MHS. God grant him eternal rest.
