I worked with Jaime at Hartford and randomly decided to reach out to him. I was saddened to see that he passed away. Jaime always looked out for me at the Hartford. I have often thought about him and how great it was to have someone in your corner.
God Speed Jaime, and thanks for your kindness.

Something out of the blue encouraged me to look up Jaime's name, he and I lost touch after high school days. We had been friends starting back in elementary school, I was his friend from White Plains. We attended one another's bar mitzvah, and remember many fun times at his house as well. In fact, there is one vivid memory of a really fun party at the house on Springdale. My cousins lived across the street. Even Babette was at the party, I do remember it all. And then to learn of this very sad news several years later after his passing, it really hit home. I send my thoughts to his family and hope they are all remaining strong. May Jaime's blessing be for a memory. David Fabel

Very much saddened to learn of Jaime's passing. He was my manager when I worked at the Hartford nearly ten years ago. At the time I was a young man in my early twenties, trying to find my way in the world. I will forever be grateful for the mentorship he provided during this time. Jaime saw potential in me where others did not. When I look back and reflect on the years since, I find there to be been several moments where the lessons learned under Jaime greatly influenced a successful outcome. My sincerest condolences to the Certilman family and to those that loved him. - Joseph Wolensky

Sending my deepest sympathy and love to Jaime's family. I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for all of you. My heart is broken into a million pieces. Jaime was incredibly special and meant the world to me. He was the kindest and most generous soul I have ever known. He was sweet, brilliant, humble, gentle, loyal...and so very funny. I miss laughing with him. I miss his big beautiful smile. At some point our lives took us in different directions. I haven't seen him in a very long time but he has always been a part of me. I'm so thankful to Babette for keeping us connected through the years. He has always had an important part of my heart and always will. I love him deeply. I will never stop hearing his beautiful infectious belly laugh. No one could make me laugh the way Jaime could. I am so grateful to have had his friendship in this lifetime and will miss him eternally. Rest peacefully my sweet Jaime. I love you.
To Evelyne, Julian, Babette, Michele, Betsy, Martin, Alexandra, Marissa & families...may you all find comfort in one another and remembering Jaime's beautiful spirit. I will continue to have you in my heart always.
Sending much love to you all

My deepest condolences to a family who were such an integral part of my childhood on Abbey Close. My sister, Stacey, and I were just reminiscing about those days playing kickball, letting our imaginations run free in “candy land” and taking over the cul de sac until well after dusk. Jamie will be dearly remembered and missed. Sending much love...Donna Lennard

Jaime, in your long history at The Hartford, I knew you for such a short time (2 years). But, in that time you changed my view of what I had to offer and what I could do with my career. You did that with encouragement, kindness, and sharing the best of yourself. Thank you for binding together a team that became a family. You are loved and missed.

My condolences to Jaime's entire family and to all who are as deeply saddened by his passing as much as I am. His reach stretched far because of the amazing person he's been to everyone whose had the pleasure of knowing him. He was my first boss at The Hartford and then became a trusted friend and mentor to me over the past 17 years. I had a great deal of respect for him, the vast insight and knowledge he was able to share and for always being a straight shooter. He helped me grow & navigate through my career and often believed in me more than I may have believed in myself. I pray that his family and friends find the strength needed during this very difficult time and that all of the wonderful memories we have help ease the sadness we're feeling. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My condolences to Jaime's family and friends. I was fortunate to be on Jaime's team prior to his retirement from The Hartford, and he was always caring, yet firm, and always encouraged me to not give up and to believe in myself. He regaled us about his work in the music industry and his beloved fur babies. Jaime, I'm so thankful to have known you, albeit, briefly. Rest in peace. - Carla Lankford

I was truly heartbroken to hear of Jaime's passing! There are too many wonderful memories to think of just one or two to share. In fact, I can hardly think of any memory he was not a part of. He was one of my childhood best friends and we were always there for each other through every tragedy and triumph. We shared so many laughs, even the most mundane day was made fun by his infectious love of life. There are some people that even though you may not have stayed in touch, they remain part of your life because of the impact they had on it. Although I hadn't spoken to Jaime in years, when we last spoke it was as if no time had passed. It is amazing how the true friends of your past remain part of your life, even if you don't speak to them. Jaime was one of those people... his love of life, his family, and of course his animals will stay with me forever, and I will remember with great joy all of our years together growing up. He was part of my wedding and early years as a mother, and he will be part of my heart forever. My heart breaks for his family, who I was honored to grow up with too as a second family. To Ms. Evelyn, Mr. Jules, Babette, Michelle, Marissa and Ally - may you always remember the joy he brought to everyone. Love, Tracy Suslow Gold
