Lili,
So sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. My own Mother passed on the 18th, and so I saw your Mother's obituary on the Fox website. I hope her life is a guiding memory for you, and wish you strength.
Hugs to you and Kevin,
Francois Steichen

Hey guys -
I've been searching for a photo (I know it's here somewhere) of a Lynch-McGirr dinner at your parents' house taken not long before my mom passed. Maybe when my wife Lynn comes home, we'll find it (that's how things usually work around here), and I'll post it then.
Sorry to hear of Lyn's passing, but glad to hear she did so at home, with family near. I still walk Manor park regularly, and would occasionally surprise her with a quick hello if I saw that White Jag in the driveway. Always enjoyed her company, and wry wit, still in evidence during my last chat with her earlier in 2019. Hope to see you Sat at 11:30.
Larchmont won't feel the same without her. Enjoy the memories - Drew

Joe, Noreen, Cathy, and Lili-
It was with deep sadness and disturbing sense of loss that I received the news of Lyn's passing yesterday. Your parents, both, were the finest kind of people that one hopes to have in one's life. As you know, and we Lynch's lived, Bob & Lyn were the rocks on the shore that often held back the storms for our parents John & Kay. From the time Bob flew to the rescue when John broke down far from home, and through the many years of difficulty, your parents were the truest of caring friends.
I am disappointed that, just before Christmas as we were all in town for a wedding, we walked the park near Lyn's house and did not knock on the door. We decided not to stop in because we were so many, and unannounced. I will not make that mistake ever again. I should have been there for Bob's funeral (if only to keep John in check....), and I am committed to be overseas again on Saturday; but for which, I would be in Larchmont to express my respect and love for your parents. I fear this will be all I am able.
Theodore Roosevelt said: "Death is always and under all circumstances a tragedy, for if it is not, then it means that life itself has become one."
For Bob & Lyn it is most certainly death that is the tragedy, as their lives epitomized the real meaning of friendship, commitment to others, and fidelity to the values we all aspire to.
My Sincerest Condolences to all of you.
Steve
