I know it is hard to lose a parent no matter what the circumstances. I have fond memories of your mom in Larchmont when we were growing up and Chuck became part of our lives bringing our families close. My parents enjoyed your parents whether at Sts John and Paul’s, the Shore Club, in the neighborhood, at the needlework shop (my mother’s favorite place), catching up at the hairdressers or at various family events. I remember the joy of the arrival of her first grandson Chip! We were all so thrilled. It is amazing and wonderful her family grew to so many more grandchildren and even great grandchildren. She leaves behind a still growing family who I’m sure will keep her memory safe in their hearts. With sympathy, Sheila Hanlon Reiman

Irene and her husband, Chuck, were great friends of my parents, the Cibulays. Irene was a wonderful, kind person who gave me good advice and the benefit of her wisdom on a number of occasions. One of my favorite memories was a visit to her home to see her beautiful artwork. I was awed by her talent. Rest In Peace, Irene. We were all better for knowing you!

God give you the peace, joy and exhilaration of heaven, beloved Aunt Irene. You will make the most of it, I know. You were filled with curiosity, a searching mind and a loving heart. We will all miss you greatly and take joy that you are enjoying the happy reunion with Uncle Chic, Chuck, my Mom Wanda Wielgus Obuchowski, and all your family and friends there. She was also a beloved Aunt Irene ...the wife of our Mom’s only brother. Between Aunt Irene and our Mom, Wanda Wielgus Obuchowski, we”kids” were blessed with lifetime memories of holiday feasts and great models of family life, love of God and country. Thank you. Janice
