Obituary of Margaret J. Cliffford
Margaret Clifford (known to most as Midge), 89, passed away on May 31, 2016. Midge lived in her beloved Larchmont for over 60 years. She was a parishioner of Saint Augustine's Church. In recent years, Midge moved to Long Island to be closer to her daughters, Patricia and Kathleen, and their families. Midge was a gifted painter and artist, and she cherished the exquisite beauty of nature and animals throughout her life. Midge adored her eight grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy," and she took great joy in spending time with them and cheering them on at every event and occasion. Midge recently lost her beautiful daughter Patricia to cancer. Her son, William, and her partner, Norman Forsyth, also predeceased her. Midge is survived by her son Jim Clifford and his wife Mary Claire, of Mamaroneck, and their children Jeannette and Bill, her daughter Kathleen Gallo and her husband David, and their children Hilary, Peter and Stephanie, of Manhasset, her son-in-law Bruce Newman, and his children Matthew, Justin and Ashley, of Jericho, and her sister, Maribeth McCarthy, of Buffalo. Visiting Thursday (Today) 6 - 8 PM at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Mass Friday, 10 AM at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
