I'm so sorry for your sudden loss. Marc was a remarkable man. He was my first cousin on my father's side, and when I was a child, living in New York, our family would visit his at least once a year. I can remember him opening the door to greet us with a broad smile and a poodle—always a poodle!—bounding up to the door behind him.
Visiting Marc and his family was always memorable. He was indeed a charming raconteur, as his obituary states. And I found out only later—much later—about his courageous work in the Belgian Resistance.
What a guy! A life well lived, with love, generosity, a ready smile, and a twinkle in his eye.
