The Eisenbergs: Marsha, Stuart, Michael, Carol, Kathy and Steven, have so many fond memories of a 40 year friendship with our friends and neighbors,the Applebomes. Special to Jerome was little Steven at 4 years of agree (now 42) walking up that long hill with his Monopoly set to play with Jerome. And, of course, Jerome and Sydell always recalling Kathy, also about 3-4 (now 46) also walking up that long hill, and commenting "Mrs. Applebome has such skinny legs." Steven, at 13 (+/-) still recalls with great joy taking the train from our home to New Canaan to visit with the Applebomes. Stuart even recalls that, when the Applebomes moved to New Fort Lee, Jerome driving back to Meadowbrook, to remove and transport soil from his old house to take back to Fort Lee for his tomatoes. And who will forget when Woody (as I recall) bet on the Giants, and, although Jerome didn't agree, he also took the Giants because Woody was his son. Then, he blamed Woody when the Giants lost. Great fun! Marsha and Stuart, however, have the indelible memories of Jerome and Sydell being caring, loving, and listening friends, during ups and downs; Jerome as a major influence in assisting my change of political views - it was easier to agree than to argue. Wonderful "stay with us" friends are rare. We are grateful for Jerome. He is missed.
