So very sorry to hear of Lucy’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with her as an educator for a few years. She has a kind spirit. Prayers for her family.

In late February of 1999 my 88 year old mother was dying at home. Lucille came to the house and tended to my mother. She was compassionate and professional. Her actions gave comfort to my dying mother and to our family who were gathered at my
mother's bedside. Lucille delivered this act of kindness without being asked. She had heard about the situation from her sister Clare, my wife.
Again when my sister Barbara was dying in 2002 Lucille came to Barbara's apartment and gave the same care and comfort. I never adequately thanked Lucille for the help and support she gave us. I am proud to have known you and wish that I had expressed that when you were alive.

My condolences to Lucy's extended family, such a tragedy. I met Lucy in Winchester within the last 2 decades while visiting my sister Wendy, a close friend of Lucy's. I was coming from Boston, so didn't get down frequently, but when I did, I always asked my sister to dream up some fun things to do, and to be sure Lucy was included, which of course, she would have been regardless. She was a delight to be around, so easy going, but also a great conversationalist and certainly not afraid to share her opinions. One hated to leave her after the shared experience because she always left you with a feeling of optimism and a sense of anticipation for what was coming tomorrow. I am so sorry to hear this terrible news, and know that she will be missed, but not forgotten, by many. Again, my sincerest condolences to her family.

Michael,Avery and Connor, I write this with a broken heart for all of you and yours. I first became aware of the O’Grady family when I worked at the Cohen pavilion and you all lived in the little brown house behind. I would watch as you all played outside, later I had the good fortune of actually befriending your mom. We commuted to Fairfield University together where we completed our undergraduate work, she was living in the sweet White House directly across from the hospital. Later she moved to VA to be close to all of you then back again. It’s an understatement to say she will be missed , her kindness, courage and strength of character is what comes to mind. You all will remain on my mind and in my heart ♥️ Ann McCue

Dear Mick, Avery and Connor my heart is broken to lose my dear friend of so many years. She was a light when she entered a room, filled with positive energy . Your mom was a great dancer too! Most of all she felt so Blessed and lucky to have the three of you and was so proud! Her grands filled her with love and joy. She was taken too soon and loved by many.
