What an honor it is to have worked with Matias and to have seen him blossom at Burke Rehabilitation, first as his speech-language pathologist, working one-to-one with him, then watching him continue to make progress within the Burke ICAP program. His determination, compassion, sense of humor and kindness touched everyone in the group. Add to that all of the staff, graduate students, therapists and patients who have admired and respected him. Matias met every challenge he encountered with grace. I am sure his presence will continue to be felt at Burke by all who have known him. I know I will continue to think of him often. My heart goes out to his entire family whom Matias spoke of often as his source of so much support and comfort.
