Obituary of Michael French

Michael French, aged 60, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife Joanna, his son Aidan, and his daughter Riley. Michael grew up in Seattle, Washington raised by his mother Patricia Monohon, and attended the University of Washington.

Michael began his career in the food industry as a very talented chef. He began at 15 years old at an ice cream shop and did early food internships in France and later worked for Wolfgang Puck as an Executive Chef at his renowned restaurant Spago in Palo Alto. After a successful culinary journey, Michael transitioned into real estate as a developer, working for Watt Industries and then Morgan Hotels before venturing out on his own to focus on development of multi-family housing.

More than his professional accomplishments, Michael will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family. He adored his children and took immense pride in their various achievements. For example he always supported them by attending every game throughout their childhood and college years. Michael's love extended to his canine companions, Seuss and Sandy whom he cared for deeply.

In his leisure time, Michael enjoyed indulging in the finer things in life, whether savoring a glass of whiskey, enjoying a good cigar, or showcasing his culinary skills at family gatherings.  He was a passionate fan of the Seattle Seahawks and UW Huskies. Michael also loved to travel the world whether it was around the US and Europe with his family or his many international trips for business. His warm personality, generous spirit, sense of humor and remarkable cooking abilities left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Michael's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched with his kindness and passion. May he rest in peace.
