Obituary of Eleanor L. Galletti

Eleanor Lillian Galletti, 97, of Larchmont, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, after a sudden illness. She was born on May 30, 1926, to the late Emilio and Josephine Scaramuzzo in Harlem, NY. She is predeceased by her husband, Onelio EdwardGalletti. Eleanor was also a devoted sister to Joseph Orefice, Rose DiLorenzo, Anita Mancuso, and Benjamin Scaramuzzo who predeceased her. Eleanor was a die-hard NY Yankee fan, and rarely missed a game on TV. She also enjoyed playing Word Search games. You could always find her sitting at the kitchen table playing her Word Search games. She enjoyed going to parties with people of all ages. The younger crowd always took a liking to her. They could not believe how hip she was for a 97-year-old woman! Eleanor had a gift to make people laugh and was always the life of the party! Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her 5 children & in-laws; daughters Corliss Galletti & Tom Lopes, Longboat Key, FL; Leonora Galletti & Frank Calabrese, Larchmont, NY; Edward Galletti, Larchmont, NY; Donald Galletti, Ecuador, South America; and Andrew Galletti & Estela Paz, Riverview, FL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also loved animals. Specifically, her beloved Sphynx Cats, Prune & Josie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA@ASPCA.org The Galletti Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 5-8pm. Funeral Mass will be at Saint James the Apostle Church in Carmel, NY on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 10:00am.
