Obituary of Diana D. Harvey

Diana D. Harvey, age 82, died peacefully in Cape Cod, one of her most cherished places, on July 23.

Diana Harvey was an active and dedicated Larchmont resident for over 40 years then moved to Venice, Florida after her children had grown. She prided herself within the community as a teacher for many years at both St. John’s Nursery school and Sts. John & Paul. She spent countless hours evolving the Newcomers Association as co-president and Junior League of Westchester. Diana’s devoted, Larchmont friends were her world. She was a loyal friend, dedicated Mom and Grandmother, life long educator. She worked in education up until the end of her life. Spent the past 10 years at Epiphany Cathedral  School, Venice Florida. She had the utmost dedication to her Roman Catholic faith. Most recently, she was a reader at her local Catholic Church in Florida and traveled to Fatima in Portugal this June.Diana was born in East Walpole Massachusetts on April 25, 1941. The only child born to Charles and Stephaney Makarevich; primarily raised by her incredibly loving Aunt Helen. Diane  received her undergraduate degree in education from Boston College and a Masters Degree from Manhattanville College. She spent the last 15 years in Venice Florida, where she enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Diane had a passion for travel, zest for living life to the fullest and a true devotion to her friends.

Diana is pre deceased by her parents and Aunt Helen; her husband, Brian W. Harvey, her son Michael Harvey.

She is survived by her three daughters: Suzanne Harvey, Maureen Harvey Elizabeth Harvey Berg  & son in law Robert Berg, sister in law Anne Bradner of Orlando Florida, and  7 loving grandchildren: Ryan, Blake, Hope, Sarah, Luke, Chase and Addison. She adored all of her nieces and nephews from Parsippany, NJ and Orlando Florida.

Diana will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched and will be laid to rest next to her husband and son.

Wake: The Harvey Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm

Funeral Service: Sts. John and Paul in Larchmont Wednesday 8/2 at 10:00 AM.

The procession will travel to Gate of Heaven cemetery afterward.
