I am so saddened to read about Diana’s passing just now on December 1. Diana and I met as Sustainers in the Junior League of Sarasota in 2009 and became long lasting friends going out for lunch or dinner, playing golf and just enjoying each other’s company. She always said I was her sister she never had. The pictures of her daughter’s wedding she sent expressed her love of family. I will t truly miss our moments together but I feel so fortunate to have known Diana. My fond memories will continue in.

I only just heard this sad news. I have many wonderful memories of playing at the Harvey household after school at Murray Avenue as a girl. Diane was also a wonderful friend of my moms. Thinking of your families during this difficult time.

Diane was a friend of more than 50 years to me, and we shared many wonderful times as individuals and with our families. I was happy to be in touch with her recently as she sent photos of her daughter Maureen’s wedding in the Azores. Diane looked radiant and happy, spent a week with her longtime Larchmont friends, and died peacefully without pain or fear in her favorite place, Cape Cod. She had a memorable last few months, and is missed for so many reasons. We send condolences to her daughters and the entire Harvey family.

Mrs. Harvey always treated my children in her care with love (Elena, Nick, and Josie). Whenever I checked them out, she checked in with me not only about my children but even on my own work. When my own mother passed, her motherly check ins were such a blessing to me. She ALWAYS seemed interested in hearing about my various teaching jobs and related them to her own experiences. I am in such shock that she has passed, but know she couldn't be anywhere better. She always made me feel like she was rooting for my good. I will miss you, caring soul Mrs. Harvey. Very sorry to hear this news. Mrs Harvey watched our son during after school care at Epiphany Cathedral School in Venice, Florida. She was so warm and kind to our family and our son. She will be greatly missed. God bless her and your family.

I am so sad to hear this news! Mrs. Harvey was my Third grade teacher at Sts. John & Paul, back in around 1998/1999. To this day, when asked who my most memorable (favorite) teacher was, it has always been Mrs. Harvey. Without any hesitation and without any doubt! She was the most patient, caring, and warm hearted woman I had ever come across. I was definitely not an easy student by any means, nor was I top of my class. However, Mrs. Harvey always made sure to take her time with me and help me one on one as much as she could. I was so blessed to have had her as a teacher, and I’m sure anyone who ever got the chance to know her or be taught by her at any level, knows how special she was. Her kindness, her passion, and her smile (and of course her awesome & bright outfits with her “groovy” glasses) stuck with me so much over the years! I wish my daughters could have had a “Mrs. Harvey” of their own. She will be missed, but she will certainly continue to be remembered! My deepest condolences to her family, friends & colleagues!

We were stunned with Diana's passing. We have enjoyed her company the last few years for Sunday breakfast, along with her friend Bob Fox. She had a fun personality and a super disposition. So sad to see her leave us so fast.
