A new star will brighten the heavens and the night sky now that Laurie’s radiant light has left this world. Really there are no words to express my sadness that she is gone. During the two years I knew her we shared many long conversations during our training sessions. Her face beamed when she spoke of her boys, which basically meant that her face was always beaming because she was always talking about them. I met Charlie and Matt only briefly, and never met Will nor Alex, however I feel as if I did because to know Laurie was to know them. She was so so proud of the men they had become, loved them so deeply, and clearly cherished every moment she spent with them. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Sending prayers and love to the boys, Kevin, Laurie’s brothers and, of course, her mother during this time of unbearable sorrow. She will always be remembered as the shining light that she was.

I met Laurie when we worked together at STUDIOS in DC. I simply adored her. She was such a bright light & positive influence. We were friends. I remember her wedding to this day. We both moved and drifted apart but I did visit after Will was born then,again, about 7 years ago in Larchmont. Although we were mostly Facebook friends followed her posts about the boys and L Train. I wish we had stayed in closer touch. Her passing has deeply saddened me. Having two sons, and also divorced, I identify with her love for her sons and send my deepest condolences, prayers and love to all.
