Obituary of Muriel Morgan Bodkin

Muriel Morgan Bodkin passed away peacefully on December 26th at the age of 86. Mimsi was born in New York, raised in New York and Westhampton Beach and was a 55 year resident of Larchmont, NY. She attended the Sacred Heart Academy and Manhattanville College. She taught CCD for twenty years and worked as a product manager at White Rock Beverages for many years as well. She was also a published author who wrote humor columns for the NY Times. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years Laurence G. Bodkin Jr. and is survived by her children Laurence III (Carolyn), Anne, Katherine Robinson (Scott), Christopher (Karen) and 11 grandchildren (Leigh, William, Thomas, Emily, Morgan, Connor, Matthew, Sarah, Madeline, Daniel and Mark). Mimsi loved the beach at the Swordfish Club, laughing with friends, her animals and most of all family time. Visiting will be Monday January 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc.  2080 Boston Post Road Larchmont, NY 10538. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Church in Larchmont on January 3rd at 10AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, NY (www.rosaryhillhome.org).
