Obituary of Yvonne A. Wauchope

On Friday April 15th 2022, Yvonne Adele Wauchope loving mother and sister passed away suddenly at the age of 63. Yvonne was born on January 30, 1959 at Port Chester Hospital to parents Barbara L. Wauchope and the late Lester R. Wauchope. Yvonne was a graduate of Rye Neck High School and continued her education at Boces for cosmetology. At the age of 25 she gave birth to her only child Adele C. Wauchope with whom she shares with Todd A. Yizar. After many years working at the Metaglo Corporation in Mamaroneck, she found her true calling as the infant room teacher at Kidz Korner. For 15 years she cared for and nurtured many children. She would always refer to them as her babies. Many of the parents were so greatful for her loving and caring ways with their children. They would often say she put them at ease with leaving their children with her for the day. Words can't describe the woman Yvonne was and how her sudden passing has devastated her family and so many in her community. Yvonne loved watching horror movies, flowers, butterflies and music. Yvonne is survived by her mother Barbara L. Wauchope, daughter Adele C. Wauchope, grandchildren Brianna Bostick & Antoine "Junior" Bostick, her four siblings Lisa Wauchope-Greenland, Pamela Delarosa, Christopher Wauchope & Barbara Wauchope-Coleman and many nieces and nephews. The Wauchope family would like to thank John J. Fox funeral home for their kindness and support during this difficult time and thank you to Pastor Karen. Visiting will be Saturday May 7th at 9:00am to 11:00am at the John J. Fox funeral home at 2080 Boston Post Rd Larchmont, NY 10538. Funeral service will also be Saturday May 7th at 12:00pm at Mamaroneck United Methodist Church 546 E Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck, NY 10543. Interment will follow at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
