Sending my condolences to the Wiegel family. I have wonderful memories of Mrs. Wiegel. I attended Barnard and Davis Elementary and a classmate of Cameron and Mrs. Wiegel was truly famous for making rice krispy treats for the students. Although, it’s been two years, the loss of a loved one never fades. Rest in Peace Mrs. Wiegel

So very sad to her about the passing of wee Abby! I met Abby when my kids were at Davis and then realized we were also neighbors, we would often laugh and have a good blether as no one else could understand us (my scottish accent and Abby's Irish) she was certainly a character with a loving heart. Cameron, she spoke fondly and proudly of you and your family, she will be so missed by many. So many happy memories, sending love to Cameron and family xXx

Mrs. Abigail was THE cornerstone of the Davis staff! We (the Smith family) consider ourselves lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing her since my oldest began his primary school journey in 2012. She was so young at heart, so much so that we had no idea she was 91. Thank you Mrs. Abigail for always being so pleasant, accomodating and calm anytime we needed anything from Davis. You will be sorely missed but never forgotten. You WERE Davis!

My heart felt condolences to Cameron and family. It's amazing that my mother Audrey, Abbie and June always stayed in touch throughout their lives since their friendship began as roommates in NYC back in the 50's. My mother really appreciated and looked forward to her weekend phone conversations with her good friend Abbie. The three of them are now once again together.

To all at the new Rochelle school district including Davis school and Rickie for supplying the pictures. I thank you Rickie and I thank the whole Davis school and I know she touched each and everyone of you. She kept the school together and no matter what the work load was she made it work.

To all who have called and sent their thoughts and prayers for my mom, I say thank you. She will be missed by all. I thought long and hard about writing this and more. Mom was born on February 23, 1930 in portadown, county Armagh, Northern Ireland. She lived on a farm with her sisters, Claire, Anna, Josephine and her brothers Edgar, Jim and Alfred. She lived during World War Two in Europe. Mom worked hard on the farm and she eventually moved to London and ,over and worked there as a secretary. She eventually moved to New York and lived with 2 of her friends Audrey and June in the Y. She worked for Cushman and Wakefield in NYC as a secretary. She met my dad William at a dance and married on October 20, 1962. They lived in an apartment in NYC and eventually moved to New Rochelle in the mid 60s. They had me in 1970 and was always in my life. My mom raised me and eventually went back to work for a law stein and Batalia Lawfirm and then my mom worked as a bus monitor for new Rochelle and then as a secretary for Davis school. My mom brought me to soccer practice and church and taught me to drive and travelled with me to Europe to see family. She taught me to work hard and she brought a Smile to Davis school and to everywhere she went. She is with my dad now and she will be deeply missed form all including myself.

Cameron, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Every childhood memory I have she is in it, being neighbors for 44 years - she was a wonderful friend to my mom and dad. Your mom was so special, she was kind and had a huge heart. We will always cherish memories of her. xoxox
