Obituary of Christopher Battista

Christopher Battista, of Rye, NY passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the age of 79. 

He was born in Manhattan and grew up in Larchmont where he loved boating on Long Island Sound. He was a 30-year resident of Stow, Massachusetts, and lived in Lake Oswego, Oregon before returning to Westchester in 2017. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he studied business at Wharton, was member of the Coast Guard Reserves and obtained his MBA from Baruch College. Chris’s career took him all over the world as a computer contracts manager while working for Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq and HP. In his free time, he loved motorcycling, hot air ballooning, hiking, reading and learning.   

Chris was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Louise Battista and his parents Barbara Schuchman Battista and Archie Battista and his brother Archer Battista. 

He leaves behind his daughter, Lauren Paletti and her husband Jared, three grandchildren, several cousins, and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces.
