Obituary of Joan Evelyn Branigan

Joan Branigan nee (Silver) of White Plains passed away November 22, 2021 surrounded by her family.  Joan was born in White Plains , and shortly after moved to Teaneck NJ only to return to her familiar White Plains.  Joan was a 1952 graduate of White Plains High school. After high school, Joan attended Katherine Gibbs School in NYC and worked for CIBA Geigy in Ardsley. Joan was a homemaker for many years before deciding to return to college. Joan received her bachelor’s degree from Suny Purchase, NY in 1981. Joan spent many years of her life dedicated to raising her granddaughter, Kelly.   Joan is predeceased by her parents, Nathan and Emily Kley, brother Robert Silver, husband Robert Branigan, and her daughter, Carloyn Branigan.   

Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her love, guidance, and adventurous nature was endless. Always with sharp wit and humor, she attended every game, concert event, and loved every moment of every celebration. Joan is survived by her daughter, Susan (Jay), granddaughters Kelly Seton (John) and Erika Gunderson (Jamie). Grandson, Chris Gunderson and great grandchildren June and Jack Seton.  Joan is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 10-12 p.m. Nov 26th Fox Funeral Home Larchmont, NY

Interment at 1:00 pm at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY
