Obituary of Marcia M. Miller
MILLER, Marcia (Millstein) of New York City died on 27August 2012.
She was born in New York City on July 14, 1921, the daughterof Harry M. Millstein and Birdie (Rosenbaum) Millstein, and resided inFarmington, Connecticut for 50 years prior to moving to New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, SaulMiller. Marcia was a graduate ofBrooklyn College with a BA in math and received her master's degree fromTeacher's College, Columbia University; she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa,the education sorority. Prior toretiring in 1976, she was a teacher at Farmington High School for 24 years andactive in many volunteer organizations, including the Red Cross and Meals onWheels. She is survived by her brother, Ira M. Millstein, two nieces, CarolWool and Elizabeth Tremain, and a nephew, James Millstein, and was predeceasedby a sister, Lucille Etra. Services willbe private.
