Obituary of Edward Patrick McGuire

Edward Patrick McGuire June 14th 1960 – November 4th 2020 Edward Patrick McGuire, 60 years old, passed on to heaven on November 4th , 2020. Eddie was born in and grew up in Larchmont. He spent many years at Manor Beach as a lifeguard and on the swim team. He graduated Mamaroneck High School and received a degree in Criminal Justice from Westchester Community College. Ed went on to work throughout Westchester and the country as a lineman, climbing and putting up the Cable TV lines, before the technology we have now came around. Eddie was a parishioner at St Augustine’s Parish and spent many years volunteering at the church and in the community. He helped as a handy man, worked with Habitat for Humanity and The Seniors group, played Santa for the kids and volunteered at the Hope Church Food Pantry, filling the big shoes of his mother Sally McGuire who passed in 2008. Eddie was loved by many friends and family. He will be missed greatly by them all. He loved animals big and small. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor and an extreme intelligence. If you ever saw him around town, he always had a book with him or in his pocket. Eddie is survived by his brothers, William Francis McGuire (Lorraine), Andrew Lane McGuire, and sister Margaret Ferrall McGuire. There will be a memorial mass for Ed at St Augustine’s on November 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers please donate to The Humane Society of New Rochelle.
