Obituary of Anne W. Kelleher
Anne Kelleher died peacefully on March 2nd in Waltham, MA at the age of 84. Anne was born August 15th,1935 in Washington, D.C. to Louise and James Willey. She graduated from Catholic University where she met the love of her life, Patrick B. Kelleher. Anne and Patrick married in 1959 and were married for 54 years, until Patrick’s passing in 2014.
Anne Kelleher is survived by her 5 children, Theresa Kelleher of White Plains, NY; Patricia Burke and her husband John of Cos Cob, CT; Maureen Kelleher and her husband Andrew Hiser of Lexington, MA; Kevin Kelleher of Mount Laurel, NJ; and Brian Kelleher and his wife Lucy Bonds of Birmingham, AL. In addition, she is survived by 4 grandchildren, James Cassidy, Savannah Cassidy, Brian Kelleher and Caitlin Kelleher.
While raising her children, Anne found time to play tennis in the summer and paddle tennis in the winter and enjoyed walking with friends around the brook not far from her home. She was an active and dedicated parishioner of Sts. John & Paul Church where she taught religion class and her sons were altar boys.
After raising their children, Anne and Patrick retired to Cape Cod where they built their dream home on Crystal Lake in Orleans. Anne loved to have her children and grandchildren down to the Cape for holidays and summer vacations, taking pleasure in her family enjoying all that Crystal Lake and the Cape has to offer. Anne was an active supporter of Sight Loss Services and attended mass regularly at the St Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Orleans.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Fox Funeral Home, in Larchmont NY. Mass Saturday 10:00 AM at Sts. John & Paul Church, Inc. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. Memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to Perkins School for The Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472
