Obituary of Renee Roff

Renee Roff died on February 23, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Renee was born in Yonkers but was raised and spent much of her life in Mount Vernon where she graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1968. Renee went on to get a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Mercy College. Renee most recently lived in Mamaroneck. She worked in the publishing business early in her career and went on to work in various administrative positions, most recently in the Education Department at Manhattanville College. Renee worked part time for many years at Houlihan & O’Malley Real Estate in Bronxville where she filled many roles over the years and became a lifelong friend. Renee loved PBS, Sting, historical fiction, British literature, animals and in particular, her cat, Fred. Renee is survived by her brother Byron and her niece Tiffany Palumbo and her children, Rachel and Anthony Palumbo. She was predeceased by her brother Allen. She was lovingly supported and cared for by an amazing group of friends whom she met at Manhattanville - Linda Putorti, Patricia Gannon and Heidi Sakanaka. She was also a member of the parish of St. Augustine’s Church in Larchmont. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered in Renee’s memory at St. Augustine’s Church in Larchmont on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
