Obituary of William Mark Meister
William Mark Meister, 90, beloved husband of the late Doris Meister, passed away on December 6th surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of David and Alice Meister, brother of Barbara Greer and the late Marilyn Walzer, father of Lee Meister, Mary Meister (Michael Berke), and Susan Meister (Neil Della Torre). Devoted grandfather of Emily Donovan, Samuel Donovan, Catherine Ricca and Madeline Ricca.
Bill graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Korean War veteran. Bill was President of Brown & Matthews for 25 years. After retiring from Brown & Matthews, he worked as a consultant in building the Unitarian church on the Payne Whitney Estate in Manhasset, NY. Bill’s love of art led him to volunteer at the Hudson River Museum for 20 years. Bill loved to play tennis, watch the Giants and paint.
Family will receive friends on Monday, December 9th from 4pm - 8pm at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, NY. Funeral service will be private.
