Obituary of Matthew Michael Ward

Matthew Michael Ward, son of Michael and Vivian Ward, beloved son, brother, and friend died Friday, May 31 at the age of 21. He is survived by his four sisters who loved their brother more than anything in this world: Marguerite, Miriam, Mary-Kathryn, and Meredith. Matthew was the happiest young man who loved making everyone laugh. Matthew was gifted with many talents: he loved making music, jamming with his friends, and playing timpani at St. Augustine's Church on major feast days with his father who is the longtime music director there. He had the ability to light up the room with his infectious smile. He was studying at SUNY Purchase pursuing a degree in communications. The Ward Family is incomplete without Matthew. They will be receiving friends Monday night from 7pm-9pm at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at St. Augustine's Church in Larchmont. Burial will be private.
