Obituary of Gerald Scholl

Jerry Scholl was the best husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor to many.  He was always so optimistic and had the ability to make you feel at ease, like you knew him for all of your life.  He loved to entertain, he loved people and parties, he loved life, and more than anything he loved his family. He shared his love of the outdoors with his children, grandchildren and many friends. He taught so many people how to ski, hunt, fish, drive a boat, and horseback ride.  He welcomed everyone into his home in Long Island and upstate NY at “The Farm”. Endless people have come up to his family to tell them that they never forgot the memories made fifty years ago with Jerry. There are so many stories to be told of countless weekends together with friends, family and neighbors. From having a career as a musician at fourteen years old, to canoeing down the flooded Bronx River parkway with his children, Jerry knew how to live life to the fullest, having everyone he loved take part in his adventures. His smile could light up a room and will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on through the innumerable stories he has shared with anyone on the pontoon boat or anyone who ventured to The Farm. He spent his life enjoying every moment he could with happiness, spreading laughter to everyone around him and making everyone feel as if they could live out the life they dreamed of. Jerry will be remembered as a passionate man with love for his family, friends, and life. He will be missed terribly by all who knew him.
