Obituary of John B. Tucker

John Bentley Tucker, a life-time resident of Larchmont, died suddenly at home on April 25, 2019.  John met his wife, France, in 1966 and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary later this year.  John was a devoted father to his four children Anna, Olivia who passed away in 2006, John M. (Capt. USMC) and Paul (Lt. USN).  He was also a doting grand-father to Jack and Olivia.

His career revolved around high-end jewelry and there are many women in Westchester whose engagement fingers are adorned with one of John’s rings.

His life-time hobby was sailing. Together with France and friends, he ventured out on many sailing expeditions including a crossing of the Atlantic and many Caribbean and Tropical cruises.  John was a life-time member of the Larchmont Yacht Club.

John is survived by his sisters Judy and Jill and his brother Richard.  He is also survived by France’s large family including Nicole, France’s mother, and France’s brothers and sisters who saw John as their brother.

Visiting will be on Tuesday April 30th  from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont.  Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday 10:00 Am at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne, New York.
