Obituary of Judith Dempsey

Judith Dempsey a long time resident of Larchmont passed away on October 22, 2011. She war born in New Rochelle on June 15, 1940 to Paul and Margaret Dempsey. She attended St. Augustine grammar school, Resurrection High School and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in NYC. She later earned a Bachelors Degree from College of Mt. St. Vincent and two masters degrees and a doctorate in Nursing Education at Teachers College. Judith worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Harrison for twenty years and then went on to teach at the Mt. Vernon School of Nursing. She retired from teaching in 2001. She is survived by her dear friend Teresa Curry and her two Godchildren, Catherine Hughes and Brian Curry. Visiting will be at the John J. Fox Funeral Home, Inc. in Larchmont on Wednesday October 26, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont on Thursday October 27, 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
