Obituary of Jerry FIXME

GERALD (Jerry) SOLOMON, age 84, died peacefully on Friday at his home in Westchester County, N.Y., of complications from Alzheimer's. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Jerry escaped the war with his parents, settling in New York City in 1938. Self-made and self-educated, he became a printer and a sculptor and, in 1972, opened an art gallery in Manhattan with his wife, Sally. He loved art, tennis and playing Debussy on the flute. Most of all, he loved his family - Sally, to whom he was married for 62 years; their three daughters, Deborah (Kent Sepkowitz), Lisa (Robert Goebel), and Cherise (Randy Feld); and six adoring grandchildren, Eli, Leo, Paul, Ben, Josh and Hannah. Donations in his memory can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
