I did not know until my later years what a great man Uncle Joe was . The Grace with which he aged, allowing a beauty of character to shine out, blew me away . That, notwithstanding the disease that ravaged him . His wife, children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren all were fortunate to have him in the respective roles of husband, father ,grandfather and great grandfather . In short ,he loved you and you loved him back. Such a profound ,simple truth and yet so rare in a world where love and loyalty of his calibre are rarely displayed with such consistency .
