Amelia "Amy" Gibson, a resident of Larchmont for 50 years, passed away peacefully on New Year's Eve, 2017. Amelia was born on June 20, 1925 in the Bronx, New York to John and Mary Drudy of Charleston, Ireland. She married Vernon Ray Gibson in 1946 and he predeceased her in 1995. Amelia worked in administration and finance for the airline and oil industry, then relocated to the Larchmont area where she worked in administration for Mamaroneck High School. Amelia had 4 children: Patricia "Gale" Troia (predeceased), Robert (predeceased), Greg and Brian Gibson. Amelia is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Debbie (Rob) Vellozzi and Donna Silano. In addition, she is survived by five great grandchildren, Christian, Brandon, and Paige Vellozzi, and Matthew and Nicolas Silano.

A memorial Mass celebrating the life of Amelia Gibson will be held at St. Augustine's Church on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. St. Augustine's church is located at 18 Cherry Avenue in Larchmont, New York.
