Obituary of Susan Mary Cooney

Susan Mary Cooney ("Toots"), born in Tarrytown, New York on July 20, 1955, died January 5, 2018 after a courageous and graceful battle with ovarian cancer. She attended Marymount Grammar School and graduated from Marymount High School in 1973. Susan received her Associate's degree from Marymount College of Virginia in 1975 and her Bachelor's Degree from Saint Bonaventure University in 1977. After graduation, Susan worked at Peoples Westchester Bank. She joined Unilever in 1996, where she remained until her early retirement in 2016. Susan enjoyed travel, theater, sporting events, movies, bicycling, reading, and was a practitioner of holistic healing. She was extremely spiritual in life and in her approach to health care. Susan leaves behind her mother Elaine, sisters Maureen Cassedy (Michael), Kathleen, Shannon Johnston (Phillips) and brothers Frank, Michael (Jocelyn), nieces Bridget & Charlotte and nephew Michael G. Susan was predeceased by her father, Frank and sister Nancy. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held Tuesday January 9th, 11:00 AM at St. Augustine Church in Larchmont.
