Obituary of Rosalia Dalia Korchin

Rosalia (Lee) Dalia Korchin passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017. She was born May 26, 1929, in New Jersey, to Antonio and Catherine (Caterina) Dalia, both deceased. In 1966, she married her beloved Mortimer (Morty) Korchin, who predeceased her in 2009. The couple moved to Brooklyn Heights, NY, and welcomed two children, William Anthony (Bill) and Catherine Harriet (Cathy). When the children were of school age, the family moved to Larchmont, NY. Lee was active in the PTA and League of Women Voters, as well as a local book club. She was a member of the Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation at White Plains. She enjoyed literature, history, and art, and had the opportunity to travel widely. Lee is survived by her loving children, William A. Korchin (Sonia Zawadski) and Catherine H. Korchin (William Deertz), and her grandchildren, Paige Deertz, William Deertz, Dylan Deertz, and Mark W. Korchin. Lee was cherished by her family and a large group of life-long friends. Visitation will be at John J Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Rd., Larchmont, NY, on Friday, December 29 from 6 to 9 PM. A service will be held at Fox Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30 at 9:30 AM, with interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
