Obituary of Catherine Falconieri

Catherine (Kay) Falconieri (95) passed away peacefully on March 15, 2012. She was born on July 29, 1916 to the late Caterina (nee Alessi) and Tommaso Falconieri in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to Larchmont, NY with her sister and brother-in-law, Josephine & Bill Powers in 1978. She worked for Singer Sewing Co. and later, Butterick/Vogue Patterns, from which she retired in 1980. Kay was an excellent seamstress and belonged to the St. Augustine Senior Citizen Center and the Larchmont/Mamaroneck Senior Center. Kay was very involved with a large extended family. Her heart and home were open to family and friends alike. Kay was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Powers and four brothers; Leo, Carmelo, John and Joseph Falconieri. She is survived by brother Salvatore Falconieri and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great, grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on March 18, 2012 at the John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. Augustine Church on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Queens, NY.
