Obituary of Harold J. Moss

Harold Moss, a longtime resident of Larchmont, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the age of eighty-five. He was born in Brooklyn. A graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic, he studied architecture at Cooper Union, then left to enlist in the Navy during the Korean War. He later received an M.S. in Transportation Planning and Engineering. Harry worked for Pan American World Airways for thirty-seven years, including as a Flight Engineer and later as Director of the Engineering Department. Afterward he joined Atlas Air, specializing in Weight and Balance. His passion for aviation, painting, and all things car-related was lifelong. Funeral service Tuesday 12 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home, 2080 Boston Post Road Larchmont, NY 10538. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery 280 Secor Road Hartsdale, NY 10530. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to Doctors without Borders in lieu of flowers. Mourning will be private.
