John F. "Jack" Williams January 28, 1927 - April 22, 2016 Jack Williams went to be with the Lord on April 22. In his 89 years he was part of so many lives. He grew up on the south side of Chicago, raised by his mother, Elisabeth, with his brother, Chuck. He graduated high school at 16 and attended college until he turned 18 when he went into the Navy. After completing his service, he attended University of Illinois where he met the love of his life, Barbara "Barb" Seaquist. After Barb and Jack graduated, they married a few months later. Jack began a long career at IBM, first in Chicago and in 1958 he moved to New York. He worked with IBM's CEO, Thomas Watson and later became a Corporate Vice President and President of IBM's Real Estate & Construction division. Jack was a faithful member of Larchmont Avenue Church for over 6 decades, serving as a deacon, trustee, and elder. He was a member of Orienta Beach Club, Winged Foot Golf Club and The Country Club of Florida where he enjoyed playing golf, tennis and bridge. While playing golf with his daughter, son and grandson, Jack scored his first hole-in-one - at the age of 80! For fifty years, Jack enjoyed fishing and vacationing with his family and friends at the Adirondack League Club in Old Forge, NY. He especially loved Sports; the NY Mets, College Sports - the Fighting Illini, and more importantly local sports where he could proudly watch his children, grandchildren and friends children compete.
