As a timid little 9 year old kid who had never ever been away from home for 1 nite much less 2 weeks the thought of a sleep away camp was a scary thought. No Mom, no Dad, brother in another cabin; YIKES!
I could not wait for it to be over, measly 2 weeks. Well Brother/Cousin Dominic came to my rescue; on the parade grounds he told me about a swimming hole that I should visit
Well one swimming session became another and another and my brother Frank and I stayed an extra 2 weeks.
