Obituary of Felix Zollicoffer Wilson
Felix Zollicoffer Wilson, 76, of Juno Beach FL, died peacefully, in the presence of his family, on 21 December, 2015 at the Hospice of Palm Beach County.
Felix was born and raised in White Plains, NY attending St. Bernard's School and Iona Prep. He attended Georgetown University, St. Michael's College and Fairfield University. Felix served in the US Army from 1959-1961. He married Francine Malaney with whom he raised three children in Larchmont, NY. Felix was a parishioner at Sts. John and Paul church for over 30 years, where he served as a weekly commentator, a CCD teacher and President of the Parish Council. He was also a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick for over 40 years. Felix worked for most of his career on Wall Street, retiring from Thomson-McKinnon as a Vice President in Corporate Bonds in 1988 to care for his wife full-time.
Felix is predeceased by his wife, Francine Malaney Wilson.
He is survived by his three children, Tracey Bailey and her husband Art, Megan Wilson and Andrew Wilson and his wife Kira, His siblings: Christopher Wilson and his wife Patricia, his sisters Eleanor Sopkovich and her husband Nicholas and Mary Ellen Cantor; his sisters in law Beverly Wilson, Rosemary Burke and her husband Thomas and Denise White and her husband Robert. Felix was predeceased by his brother Mizell Wilson, Jr., Felix is also survived by his grandchildren: Catherine Bailey, Andrew Wilson, Arthur Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Erin Wilson and Colleen Wilson.
Felix was an avid NY sports fan and had a love for cooking, singing and sailing. Most of all, he will be remembered for his eloquent story-telling, the ease at which he communicated with people young and old and his love for simple conversation with family and friends.
Visitation will be at Fox Funeral Home, Larchmont, NY on Monday December 28, 2015 from 4-8 pm. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church on Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 11:00 am.
