Obituary of F. Peter O'Hara

F. Peter O'Hara, a longtime resident of Larchmont, NY and Quechee, VT, died on November 15, 2015 just days before his 80th birthday. Born in Norwich, NY on November 24, 1935 to Mary Elizabeth Byrne and Frederic John O'Hara. Loving husband for 51 years of Sabina G. O'Hara. Devoted father of Katie O'Hara Edwards (Jon), Mary O'Hara Moore (Brian), Jane Robinson McFarland (Tom), Margaret Gatheral O'Hara, Peter Murdoch O'Hara (Amy). Proud grandfather of Maxwell & Margaret Edwards, William, Charlotte & Henry Moore, Thomas, Peter, George, Elizabeth & Robert McFarland and Patrick & Timothy O'Hara. Graduate of Hamilton College '57 and Harvard Law School '60. He was the managing partner of the Brooklyn law firm of Cullen and Dykman. After retirement, he served as the town attorney for the Town of Greenburgh. He served on the Mamaroneck Board of Education, was President of the Men's Club of Sts. John & Paul, was President of the Brooklyn Club and was on the Board of St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Mass at St. Augustine Church, Larchmont, 11am on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Memorial contributions to The Winton and Patricia Tolles Scholarship at Hamilton College.
