CONDON - Mary Elizabeth (nee McDonough) 90 - born on March 27, 1921 in Manhattan, NY. She died peacefully at her home in Larchmont, NY on January 20, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Edwin J. Condon and by her two sons, Edwin J. Jr. and Michael Lawrence. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine McMahon and Mary Ellen Hamilton and her sons Daniel, James and Gerard. Mary was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She lived an enthusiastic and joyous life raising her seven children, working as an administrative assistant at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, playing golf, talking politics, reading voraciously and reveling in the company of family and friends. She happily recounted the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to any and all who would listen. She loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She grew up in a large Irish Catholic family the eldest daughter of nine children. She is survived by her sister Margaret Crowley and her brother Michael McDonough. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Mass Wednesday 10 AM at Sts. John & Paul Church in Larchmont. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
