Obituary of Theresa B. Casey

Theresa Brennan Casey, 89 Terry Casey, a resident of Larchmont for over 50 years died on October 21, 2015. Her beloved husband Tom predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted daughters Andrea O'Neill (Tim) and Christina Webers (Frank), by her cherished grandchildren Caroline O'Neill, Frank and Caitlin Webers, April Saxe (Duff), May Burke (Peter), June Hatch (Michael), and nine great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephew. She is a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent and earned a Masters degree in Education Administration from Columbia University. She served for 39 years in the New York City public school system as a teacher, an Assistant Principal and Principal of P.S. 194 in Harlem and for the last 19 years of her career as Principal of P.S. 131 in Jamaica Estates, Queens. Terry and her family have been members of the Larchmont Yacht Club for many years. She sailed there with her husband and daughters. She was also a fixture on her beloved 'adult beach" and frequented the beach grill. Her favorite pastimes were playing bridge and reading. Mrs. Casey was a Eucharistic Minister at Saints John and Paul parish in Larchmont for over the past twenty years. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated there at 10am on Monday October 26th followed by burial at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye. Her wake will be held at Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont on Sunday October 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
