Obituary of Julio H. Campo
Devoted Father, Husband, Uncle, and Grandfather
Julio Hernando Campo Sr. of New Rochelle, NY passed away on Wednesday October 14, 2015 at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. He was a 76 years old retiree.
He was born in Timbio, Cauca in Colombia on March 17, 1939 to the late Dionisio and Elicenia Campo. Julio was raised in Timbio until 1950 when his family moved to Restrepo Valle. In 1965, Julio moved to France for 2 years and then immigrated to New Rochelle, New York in 1967. In early 1973, Julio met his beloved wife Liria Nilda Sanabria who he married that November. He worked for Arnold Bakery for 17 years and then Stella D'oro for 16 years. Julio had a love for Latin music, salsa dancing, and was an avid traveler. He was a devoted family man to his wife, sons, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and extended family. He was a very hardworking man and devout Catholic.
Julio was predeceased by his wife Liria Campo. He is survived by Julio Jr and Natalia Campo, Leonardo and Leomaris Campo, and Dickson Campo. He is remembered by his 4 grandchildren Sorany, Xavier, Samuel, and Jordyn Campo. He is also survived by his siblings Evaristo, Oliva, Elvia, Lastenia, and Heriberto.
Visiting Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 pm,
Mass Monday at Holy Name of Jesus Church in New Rochelle.
Interment at Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle.
