Obituary of Lucille Cox Novotny

Lucille Cox Novotny, age 91, of Mamaroneck, NY passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on June 30, 2015. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Lucille graduated Erasmus Hall High School and Chestnut Hill College in PA with a B.A. in Economics. A longtime resident of the Shore Acres area, Lucille's life was full of bustle. She was on the Board of the Westchester County Federation of Women's Clubs and the Women's Club of Mamaroneck, Ladies Guild of St. John & Paul Church, and President of the New York Alumnae Chapter of Chestnut Hill College. An avid enthusiast of New York City, Lucille frequented the theatre, museums, galleries, department and specialty stores throughout her life. A favorite was attending performances of the Round About Theatre Company. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Richard) Fuller and Betsy (Robert) DeRaffele and her two grandchildren, Stephen and Michelle DeRaffele. Predeceased by her husband, Lucille now joins Joseph in eternal life. The family will be present to receive friends at the John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont on Thursday from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10am at Resurrection Church in Rye. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
