Obituary of Doris S. Sandstrom

Doris S. Sandstrom a longtime resident of Larchmont passed away on March 3, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Edwin and Alice Smart on July 29, 1932. Raised in Rockville Centre LI She later went to school at Colby Sawyer College and Pembroke in RI. She married her beloved husband Harold in Rockville Centre in 1962. They moved to Larchmont in 1968 where they raised their daughters Lisa Tosh (Ron) and Karin Shelton (Mark). Doris was an avid golfer, bridge player and was a long time member of Orienta Beach Club. Doris was also a devoted member of The Larchmont Avenue Church where she was church officer and president of the Trustees. In addition to her husband and daughters she is also survived by her grandchildren Haley, Griffin and Tanner. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Funeral Service Saturday 11 AM at The Larchmont Avenue Church followed by a reception at Orienta Beach Club. Interment is private.
